Her specialization is in the field of Aesthetics which deals with literature as an art form and interprets it in the wider context of other art forms, thus making the study inter-disciplinary. She has worked on the modern classic poem Andhere Mein. Further she has researched Yakshi icons excavated from Snghol, Punjab and compared these sculptures with literary traditions. She has also conducted research on Kanheri Caves (Mumbai) as a Minor Research Project by UGC. Her articles have been published in leading literary magazines.
EXAP PROJECT
Faculty members are involved in the cultural component of EXAP and have guided some of the projects on Indian Dances, Architecture, Indian Mythology and Comparative Study of the authors of Indian and western origin.
OTHER PROJECTS
TYBA applied component projects in paper VI & IX are based on modern Hindi fiction and authors, literary trends & movements and ideologies.
Some projects have been done novels like shalmali (Nasira Sharma), kathgulab (Mridula Garg), daar se bichhuri (Krishna Sobti), aye larki (Krishna Sobti), Mohandas (Uday Prakash), sarju ke naam (Jaivanti Dimri), tata professor (Manohar Shayam Joshi), ve din (Nirmal Verma) etc.

Teaching:
Expertise in Hindi Language & Literature can lead you to teaching in schools, colleges, university or private tuitions or even teaching foreign students privately or through consulates. Job Prospects vary from secretarial jobs to executives, public relations as well as for translation & interpreter's jobs. Translators are employed with industries, publishing houses, research and government organizations such as Ministry of External Affairs and Embassies. Opportunities for translators are also available in the courts of various states. Hindi Officers are posted in every government department and Public Sector organizations as per the policy of Government of India to implement Official Language.

Language experts and content writers get job opportunities in advertising agencies, radio, television, films and print media or free lancing. There is a paper in SYBA which provides expertise in feature writing, slogan & jingle writing, dialogue and script writing etc. thus opening careers for creative minded students. All other jobs like travel & tourism sector, hotel industry, exhibition & fairs, airlines offices, radio stations, trade organizations and teaching are open to our students.
